Chronic pain, depression, learning disorders. Their impact on a person can be overwhelming, both personally and professionally. Known as “Invisible” or “Hidden,” these disabilities must be approached in the same manner as physical and “visible” disabilities. This course focuses on protections under the Americans with Disabilities Act, including reasonable accommodations and the interactive process; education on how mental illness and cognitive disabilities affect an individual; and strategies for success on the job, including job structure and support.
